Copyright Policy

Honest Bread respects the intellectual property of others and expects members to do the same. This page explains how to notify us of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and how affected members can respond.

Reporting infringement (takedown notice)

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to dan@webfu.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice" that includes:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  • The URL(s) of the material on this site you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it;
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Signed-in members can also flag content with the Report link and the "Copyright infringement" reason; a formal DMCA notice by email is still required for statutory takedown handling.

What we do with valid notices

We will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly, notify the member who posted it, and provide them a copy of the notice.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same email address including:

  • Identification of the removed material and where it appeared;
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found);
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Misrepresenting that material is infringing can expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
